Prinz Eugen war ein schwerer Kreuzer und das dritte von fünf Schiffen ihrer Klasse. Der Kiel wurde am 23. April 1936 gelegt, der Stapellauf erfolgte am 22. August 1938. Die Unterlage gibt eine Länge von 212,5 Metern an und vermerkt drei Flugzeuge an Bord.
Prinz Eugen was a heavy cruiser and the third of five vessels in her class. Her keel was laid on 23 April 1936 and she was launched on 22 August 1938. The supplied material gives her length as 212.5 metres and records three aircraft carried.
Im Briefing sind der 24. Mai 1941, die Operation Rheinübung vom 18. bis 27. Mai 1941, der Kanaldurchbruch im Februar 1942 sowie der Einsatz in Norwegen vermerkt. Außerdem nennt es Artillerieunterstützung für das sich zurückziehende deutsche Heer an der Ostfront.
The briefing records 24 May 1941, Operation Rheinübung from 18 to 27 May 1941, the Channel Dash in February 1942 and deployment in Norway. It also notes artillery support for the retreating German army on the Eastern Front.

Das Briefing benennt Penetrationseinstiege am Bug und am Heck. Für den Bug sind 36 Meter Tiefe angegeben, für das Heck 10 Meter. Die Bereiche der Einstiege werden zusätzlich mit 33 Metern am Bug und 20 Metern am Heck ausgewiesen.
The briefing identifies penetration entries at the bow and stern. It gives 36 metres at the bow and 10 metres at the stern, with the entry areas additionally marked at 33 metres forward and 20 metres aft.
